What We Offer
“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.”
Consultations
Consultations will last for approximately 60 minutes, although the length will vary from client to client. The sessions are a collaboration between practitioner and client, with Mitch guiding the client to uncover their own inner resources to orient towards wholeness. A client may require as few as a single session or as many as multiple across weeks / months.
As a therapist, witnessing a client embrace vulnerability gives me a sense of purpose. Each session is a safe space for exploring thoughts and feelings without judgment. Through active listening and gentle guidance, I help them uncover the roots of their challenges, empowering them to find solutions.
Smoking Cessation
Sessions for smoking cessation will be approximately 1.5-2 hours as a one-off single session. It is important that clients are ready and willing to take the leap into quitting smoking, as hypnotherapy won’t be as effective for someone non-commital.
Hypnotherapy is an effective approach that helps individuals rewire their subconscious mind to break the habit of smoking. This method can alleviate cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms, making it easier to overcome the physical and psychological challenges of quitting. Many clients report a significant reduction in their urge to smoke, leading to lasting change and improved overall health.
Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression have many nuances, with causes stemming from a range of personal and environmental factors. There is no magic pill solution to resolving the complexities associated with anxiety and depression. In this regard, it is important to acknowledge that work with clients within session is only one component of the wider healing journey. Clients will benefit from employing strategies outside the clinic room. Mitch will provide guidance on ways to regulate one’s nervous system, nurture a sense of safety, and build capacity to tolerate stress outside of one-on-one sessions.
Additional Services
Phobia Treatment
Hypnotherapy is an effective approach for overcoming phobias by helping individuals access their subconscious mind and reframe their fears. Through guided relaxation and focused attention, clients can explore the root causes of their phobias, allowing for a deeper understanding and gradual desensitization to the feared object or situation.
Stress Management
Hypnotherapy is a useful tool for managing life’s stressors and increasing one’s capacity to tolerate stress on the mind and body. Using deep relaxation techniques, hypnosis allows a person address the root cause of stress to facilitate greater health and vitality.
Sleep and Insomnia
Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for addressing sleep disorders, offering a natural alternative to medication. By inducing a state of deep relaxation, hypnotherapy helps individuals tap into their subconscious, identify the underlying causes of their sleep issues, and promote healthier sleep patterns.
Sports Performance
Hypnotherapy can be used to address underlying self-limiting beliefs that may be restricting a person’s potential in acheiving optimal results in competition.
Weight Management
By guiding individuals into a relaxed state, hypnotherapy allows them to explore their relationship with food, uncover emotional triggers for overeating, and develop healthier attitudes toward eating and exercise. Through positive suggestion and visualization techniques, clients can reinforce their motivation to make lasting changes, increase their self-discipline, and cultivate a sense of empowerment over their choices.
IBS and Stomach Issues
Emerging research continues to understand the complex connection between the gut and brain, known as the "gut-brain axis. Stress (particularly psychological stress) can negatively impact the gut / microbiome and cause inflammation, including symptoms of IBS. Hypnotherapy has been successfully proven to assist in resolving stomach / digestive related issues by accessing the power of the unconscious mind.
